Historically, our constituents were career insurance agents contracted by our
parent company, Kansas City Life Insurance Company, and personal producers
affiliated with a Kansas City Life Insurance Company subsidiary, Sunset Life
Insurance. Because of the consultative nature of insurance sales, our culture
fosters relationships that advocate full financial planning. More recently,
we've attracted independent representatives lacking insurance skills, but
willing to learn that part of the business or affiliate themselves with those
having that experience. That includes Investment Advisors Reps and teams of
representatives focusing on group business such as 457, 410(a) and 403(b).
